Accept That You Can Change Yourself

Life is not what happens to you. Life is what you make happen.

The next important step to change is to recognize that you can make the change. Once you accept that you need to make the change, you are ready to move forward to begin taking action and actually do something different. Doing different things will bring different results. You simply cannot make a change in your reality if you continue doing the same thing. (Or thinking the same way.) This may seem obvious as you read this and I hope it does, but most people only want the different results. They aren’t willing to take responsibility for making that change. They want to be given the new circumstances without effort. You can blame our current societal customs for that little gift (careful though, about playing the blame game). We are taught through current big commerce practices, government and in many other aspects of life that we are entitled to happiness, success and anything else we want in life.

This lie simply cannot continue if we want to truly achieve greatness. Great things don’t happen because someone else does the work for you! The other big lie that we all too often accept is “This is just the way I am.” “I can’t change who I am.” BULL! You are changing who you are every single second of every day. What you need to decide now is if you are finished dying and if you are now ready to start living. Accepting that you are in charge of your life is crucial to your success. So if you are not an infant who needs to be waited on hand and foot and if you are not ready to lie down in the grave and give up, it’s time to start doing something to effect change. YOU CAN DO IT!

It’s time for you to step up and be your own change. It’s time for you to recognize that you don’t have to be a victim in life. You don’t have to give in to weaknesses and you don’t have to quit after failure. Failure is important. It is part of learning in life. If you are afraid to fail then you will never achieve. We simply cannot achieve without failure. Embrace the failure and learn from it. Embrace the fact that you control your reality and only you can change it. Do not accept a reactionary life. Life is not what happens to you. Life is what you make happen.

Now, get out there and start doing! Ignore the excuses. push through the trials. Keep moving forward no matter how hard life pushes against you. There are successful people all around. Why not be one of them?

New To Ebay? Getting Started Is Simple!

Signing up for Ebay is a simple process. There are a few Hoops to jump through initially but none of it is too difficult. You do not need a legal business name to get started on Ebay. You can start selling today after just going through the basic registration steps. The registration simply means your name and address and a payment method for fees.

Ebay lets you post your first 50 listings every month free of charge and only charges fees on the back end when something sells. Ebay makes most of their money from the final value fees which are 10% of the sale. that gives you a lot of freedom and ability to grow a business on their platform for very little. After the first 50 listings which are free they start charging a small $0.35 insertion fee for additional listings. Even this can be lowered over time when you sign up for a store but there is no need for an eBay store in the beginning.

Here is a video that walks you through the registration process for Ebay.

7 Ways to Make Money

Making money online is easy, right? Let’s dissect an article that talks about 7 possible options for making money. This is from Entrepreneur.com. Sounds like a good legit resource right? I’m not saying they aren’t a reputable website/company but let’s take a serious look at what they are showing as options to make money.

Here is the article in question:

https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/299728

I want to start with the title of the article.
“7 Realistic Ways to Make Money Online”

I guess it really comes down to how much money you are looking to make. Realistic is relative. Are you looking to make a few cents here and there as a kickback from spending money? Are you looking to make a few bucks for spending cash or are you looking to make a serious income? I think these questions have to be answered first. You must decide what your ultimate goal is. I would say we have a possibility of three main areas of goals.

Are you looking for a few pennies as a kickback from the shopping you do or are you looking for some serious income?

One of the best quotes from the article is this one:

“If you’re at all serious about generating a full-time income and possibly more from your online activities, then you need to focus on passive income as opposed to active income. Sure, the active income will help you survive. That’s the scarcity mentality at play. But it’s the passive income ideas that will help you thrive.”

Another quote they state that is excellent advice is:

“…you need to adjust your mindset to help empower rather than discourage you.”

So with that start, let’s look at what they presented.

Options to make money include:

  1. Freelance for app companies like Lyft
-Use apps like Ebates to get a small kickback
  2. Use existing platforms to sell digital or physical goods
  3. Sell your own stuff on Ebay, Etsy…
  4. Affiliate marketing
  5. Start your own blog
  6. Create an email list and market to your list
  7. Webinar trainings

OK, so that’s quite a list and covers a lot of different options. I’ll go over these and break each down a bit in future posts.

I have to say, I’m actually a bit surprised that there was no actual mention of Ebay in the article. One might say it’s the audience they are presenting to but then again, they list ideas like Swagbucks and Ebates which offer very little and only when you spend much more.

They also mention Etsy which is similar to Ebay in some ways but has a far smaller market share and is only for vintage or handmade items.

Quite frankly I think there is little meat in much of this but again, that depends on what you are looking for. So start there. What are you looking for?

Do you want to create income that will eventually keep coming?
Do you want to work for someone else and just have a job?
Do you want to make a few dollars each month from the shopping you already do?
Do you desire to start your own business of some kind?

Comment below or email me so I can share more insights about options that you might like.
